Joe Grayson has joined Grimsby Town on loan from Blackburn Rovers until the end of the season. 

Joe signed his first professional contract with Blackburn Rovers in Summer 2017 and enjoyed a successful season with the Club’s under 23s side, remaining unbeaten away from home all season and ultimately being crowned Premier League 2 Champions for the 2017/18 season.  

Joe’s impressive performances within the Academy saw him rewarded with a new contract, which keeps him at the Club until 2021. He made his first team debut, August 2018, playing a full 90 minutes in Blackburn’s Carabao Cup tie against Lincoln City. 

Grimsby manager Michael Jolley was full of praise for Joe when speaking to the Club website and hopes his versatility can strengthen Grimsby’s squad.  19-year-old Joe is able to play in several roles across midfield and defence and hopes to gain experience while on loan with the Club.
