Simon Grayson Returns to Management Signing a two-year deal at Blackpool

6th July 2019

Congratulations to client Simon Grayson who has returned to management, signing a two year deal at Blackpool.

Simon began his managerial career at Blackpool in 2005, leading the side to promotion to the Championship in 2007. This was the first time in 29 years that the Seasiders had played in the second tier of English football. The side retained their Championship status the following year.

Simon went on to join Leeds United in 2008, again achieving promotion from League One to the Championship, a feat he replicated at Huddersfield Town and Preston North End.

Simon has also managed at Sunderland and, most recently, Bradford City.

He now links up with the Blackpool side, who are in Scotland for their pre-season training.

All at New Era are delighted to see Simon return to Blackpool and wish him the very best for the season ahead.
