Marcus Browne Joins Oxford United on a Season-Long Loan

26th July 2018

Congratulations to New Era client Marcus Browne, who has joined Oxford United on a season-long loan from West Ham.

Marcus joined West Ham’s Academy of Football at the age of eight.

He has established himself as a key figure in the Club’s academy set up, captaining both the under 18s and under 23s side.

In the 2016/17 season he gained promotion with West Ham’s under 23s and was nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Year Award.

Marcus has regularly challenged for West Ham’s First Team and made his senior debut in August 2016 in a Europa League clash against Astra Giurgiu.

He has also spent time on loan at Wigan, where he played at Old Trafford in an FA Cup tie against Manchester United.

The 20-year old attacking midfielder now makes the move to the Kassam Stadium for the 2018/19 season.

We wish Marcus all the best for the campaign ahead and look forward to seeing him succeed at Oxford United.
