Congratulations to client John Marquis who has joined Portsmouth Football Club on a three-year deal from Doncaster Rovers.

John was awarded the Sky Bet League Two Golden Boot for the 2016/17 season and was voted Club Player of the Season, Player’s Player, awarded Goal of the Season and was named in the EFL League Two PFA Team of the Year.

John continued to impress at Doncaster Rovers. In the 2018/19  campaign he scored 26 goals in 54 appearances and was named League One Player of the Month for September. “I’m extremely excited to be re-joining Portsmouth on a permanent basis. A team with big ambition that matches my drive to go to the next level. The opportunity to play in front of 16,000 Portsmouth fans at home every week was one I couldn’t turn down. I look forward to meeting my team mates and getting started to help score the goals to get us towards our target of promotion”.

All at New Era would like to congratulate John on his move and look forward to monitoring his progress next season.
