Having joined from Norwich City in 2020, the versatile defender quickly became a key figure in Everton's backline, earning praise for his athleticism, commitment, and defensive versatility. His time at Goodison Park saw him play a crucial role in helping the club secure its Premier League status in challenging seasons, and he also earned an England call-up in recognition of his performances.
